As expected, Huawei has unveiled its new higher mid-range smartphone today in China. The Honor lineup has just got another member and is up for registrations on Tuesday via Vmall, JD.com and other online retailers in the country, with the first flash sale on May 17.

The Honor V8 comes in three versions, like many recent smartphones. The model with 4 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage costs CNY 2,299 ($350) , the 4 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage variant with additional network support is CNY 2,499 ($380), and the latest with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage with Quad HD display costs CNY 2,799 ($430). At the moment, there are no details about global availability.
The biggest advantage over other devices is the dual-camera setup, which has two 12-megapixel rear cameras with dual-tone LED flash and laser autofocus, while the front camera is decent as well, with an 8-megapixel sensor.
