During a press conference today, Xiaomi has announced several new products and we'll start with the phone - the Mi Max. The phablet will be available in Silver, Light Grey and Gold and will first go on sale on May 17, with a very affordable price tag.

There will be three versions - the Snapdragon 652, 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB version will cost CNY 1,500 ($230/€200), the Snapdragon 652, 3 GB and 64 GB is CNY 1,700 ($260/€230) and the top model with Snapdragon 652, 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB will go for CNY 2,000 ($300/€270).

All versions have a 4,850 mAh battery, a hybrid dual-SIM, the new MIUI 8 that is based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and a fingerprint sensor on the back for extra security. There are a 16-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front.
