Asustek Computer expects consolidated revenues of NT$95-100 billion (US$2.93-3.08 billion) for the second quarter of 2016, decreasing 9-14% on quarter, the company said at a May 11 investors conference.

Second-quarter revenues from PCs will slip 10-15% on quarter but grow up to 5% on year, smartphone and tablet and other mobile device revenues will grow up to 5% on quarter but drop 10-15% on year, and motherboards, graphics cards and components will slip 5-10% on quarter but rise up to 5% on year, Asustek said.

Asustek forecast gross margin of 12.5-13.5% and net operating margin of 4.0-4.5% for the second quarter.

Of first-quarter consolidated revenues of NT$110.05 billion, 66% came from PCs, 17% from smartphones, tablets and other mobile devices, 14% from motherboards, graphics cards and components, and 3% from IoT (Internet of Things) devices, Asustek indicated. Asia accounted for 48% of consolidated revenues, Europe 35% and North and Latin America 17%.
