Apart from announcing Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus, Motorola has added a third member to the list a couple of hours later. The first two smartphones having many similarities, but the Play is a different phone featuring a 5-inch 720p display instead a 5.5-inch 1080p.
Another notable change is the use of a quad-core Snapdragon 410 processor instead of the octa-core Snapdragon 617 that's found inside the G4 and G4 Plus. Customers also won't be able to customize the phone via Moto Maker. Price-wise, it costs less than $150 unlocked.
