With next-gen flagship smartphone, Motorola has decided to implement new functionality that is very similar to LG's Friends. Dubbed the MotoMods, it comes with 16-pin port on the bottom of the phone and adds various new features, such as better battery, camera and other.

New live images of replaceable StyleMods have surfaced online, confirming that the new Moto Z smartphones will still feature replaceable back cover. However, it seems that the StyleMods covers don't feature the 16-pin port unlike the MotoMods, but we'll know more on June 9 when the new lineup will be unveiled.
