Samsung has today officially announced a rugged version of its flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S7 Active. The rugged flagship handset will go on sale on June 10 and will be exclusively available from AT&T. It is priced similarly to the Galaxy S7 Edge.

With AT&T's Next plan, it costs $26.50/month, with the Next Every Year plan it is $33.13/month, while the price of SIM-free model isn't known at the moment. Three color options are available: Sandy Gold, Camo Green and Titanium Gray.

As for the specifications, they aren't different from what we already knew. The Galaxy S7 Active features a 5.1-inch Quad HD display that is shatter-resistant, a Snapdragon 820 chipset, 4 GB of RAM, 32 GB of expandable storage, a fingerprint scanner, and a 4,000 mAh battery. It has passed US Military Standard (MIL-STD) 810G tests for a ruggedized phone and also has IP68 ratings for dust and water resistant.
