Gionee has just announced a successor to the last year's S6. As promised, the company has just announced the S6 Pro that is now available in Gold, Silver, and Rose Gold color options for CNY 1,999 ($300) in China, and can be ordered through Gionee's Shop and TMall.

The metal chassis packs a 5.5-inch 1080p display, MediaTek Helio P10 chipset with an octa-core Cortex-A53 processor and Mali-T860MP2 GPU, 4 GB of RAM, 64 GB of RAM and a 3,130 mAh battery. There is a 13 MP on the back with phase-detection AF, and an 8 MP front shooter.
