Samsung is currently enjoying situation it has with the Galaxy S7 smartphones. The lineup is selling better than the company has expected, with 10 million units sold in March. The numbers are now even higher, but Samsung is already working on its successor.
Since the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S7 are almost identical, and there are barely few differences, the company needs to make some key changes with the Galaxy S8. While it might be too early to comment on specifications, the word out of China is that the Galaxy S8 will feature a dual camera module on the back of the phone and will have a 4K display due to the increasing popularity of VR. We can also expect to see either next-gen Exynos SoC or Qualcomm's Snapdragon 830, which will be produced using the 10nm FinFET process for more power and better power efficiency. |
