HTC has confirmed that its former CEO Peter Chou has left the company. Chou is currently serving as chairman of Hong Kong-based Digital Domain though he is still an honorary consultant to HTC.

Chou stepped down from his position as CEO at HTC in early 2015 and was appointed to head the HTC's Future Development Lab, a new division of the company responsible for coming up with new products.

However, Chou joined Digital Domain as an executive director at the end of August 2015, heralding his official departure from HTC.
