LeEco was rumoured to announce a Pro version of the Le Max 2 smartphone, but that obviously didn't happen. Instead, the company announced a new color option for the smartphone it introduced back in April, and a new memory configuration with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage.

Previously, the handset was available only in Rose Gold, Silver and Grey, while now it can be purchased in the Force Gold. The color option will also be available for the Le 2 and Le 2 Pro. Other than more memory and gold color option, the handset is still the same old Le Max 2.

The handset starts at CNY 2,099 ($320) with 4 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage, while the top model costs CNY 2,799 ($420).
